A shot counter is a weapon-mounted sensor that automatically records every round a weapon fires. Senseer GEN-2 shot counters log each shot with a timestamp, so armorers and command get exact round counts per weapon without manual logs.
None. A shot counter and a round counter describe the same device from different angles: a shot counter names it by the act of firing, a round counter names it by the round consumed, and every fired round is exactly one shot. Senseer’s GEN-2 sensor logs the same event either way. Armorers who ask for round count and shooters who ask for shot count are reading the same number.
Senseer counts shots with 98% accuracy in field conditions. The onboard AI fuses several physical signals and counts a shot only when they align, so dry fire, drops and transport shake are ignored.
Yes, when the count comes from onboard sensor fusion rather than a single signal. Senseer reaches 98% accuracy in field conditions because the sensor only logs a shot when several physical signals from the weapon align at once, so a single drop, a dry-fire trigger pull or transport shake does not register as a round fired. That fusion step is what separates an accurate count from a simple vibration or recoil switch.
Round count is the ground truth for a weapon’s wear, so armorers track it to schedule maintenance before a part fails rather than after. It is also the record that backs ammunition accountability and chain of custody across a unit, in exact numbers instead of estimates. Senseer captures round count automatically at the sensor, so the number an armorer tracks is measured on the weapon, not reconstructed from memory or a paper log.

The Senseer weapon library is updated continually. If your weapon is not listed, contact us to schedule a session to record your weapon and have it added. Turnaround is 90 days from the time the data is recorded.
No network, and for most variants no charging. Every variant except the G2 pistol module runs on a sealed lithium cell rated for 150,000 to 500,000 events, which is 4 to 7 years of service depending on the variant. The G2 is rechargeable and holds 6 months to a year per charge. Data is read over NFC, so nothing transmits from the weapon in the field.
Every variant is sealed to IP68 and hardened to MIL-STD 810H, and is rated for storage from -40 to 70 degrees C. Weight runs from about 25 g for the A2 module to about 117 g for an embedded grip, which includes the grip itself. It is built to live on a service weapon through drops, immersion and hard use.

Yes. The GEN-2 sensor timestamps every shot and stores the last 50,000 shot events on the device. If your program does not require timestamping, the feature can be disabled.
Yes. Senseer only sources and uses parts that are TAA compliant.
No. Senseer has received a Commodity Jurisdiction determination classifying the system, the edge sensor, reader and dashboard, as EAR99 under US export rules rather than ITAR.
Yes, in almost all cases. ITAR 22 CFR 125.4(b)(6) exempts technical data related to firearms of caliber .50 and below, excluding detailed design, development, production or manufacturing information, and the usage data Senseer records to add a weapon falls under this exemption. Senseer has also applied for a Commodity Jurisdiction determination to formally exclude this data from ITAR technical data.
An automatic shot counter mounts on the weapon and uses onboard sensors to detect the physical signature of a round being fired, then logs the event without any input from the shooter. Senseer’s GEN-2 core fuses several of these physical signals at once and only registers a shot when they align, so dry fire, drops and handling do not get counted. Each shot is timestamped and stored on the device, then read out over NFC, so no app or network connection is needed to operate it. The same core works across more than 60 weapon platforms, from pistols to crew-served guns.
A weapon round tracker is a device that records how many rounds a specific weapon has fired over its service life. Senseer’s trackers are sealed sensor modules that mount on the weapon itself, count each shot at 98% accuracy, and store the running total and timestamps on the device until they are read over NFC. Because the count comes from the weapon rather than a shooter’s log, it gives armorers an exact, per-weapon figure instead of an estimate. The same tracker family fits more than 60 weapon platforms.
